Jamie Laroy (Chet) Martin was born March 30th. 1964, in Coeur d’Alene Idaho to James and Kathleen Martin. On January 21st. 2020; he was called home to rest in the arms of the Lord and reunite with mom who he had been longing to see again for years.
Chet was sadly called home at such a young age that it’s heartbreaking, but he left so many great memories behind for all of those who knew him. Chet had the biggest heart and was the most caring person you would ever meet. If you knew him… you loved him.
Chet had many hobbies and interests in life, he was very talented at putting together models and playing the guitar. He enjoyed fishing and restoring his 1967 Chevy when he could. He loved sports as well, his favorite Nascar racers were Dale Earnhardt, Jeff Gordon, and Jimmy Johnson. He was a life-long Chicago Bears fan also liked the Seahawks. Since Dad retired 4 years ago, he and Chet enjoyed watching ‘The Price is Right’.
Although Chet never married and did not have any children of his own; he was like a father to his nieces and nephews and will be greatly missed by them all. There will forever be a special place in all their hearts for Uncle Chet.
Chet is survived by his father James Martin of Yakima, Brothers James Martin Jr. and his daughter Crystal (Joe) Hillyard of Michigan, Rick (Annie) Martin and their sons Benji and Dustin(Miranda Salinas) of Yakima, William Martin (ex-wife Elisabeth) and their sons Billy, Trevor, and Thomas of Yakima and sisters Sherri (Tom) Cobane and their children Tristan(Annabel) and Taryn (Dylan Cyr)of Yakima, Lorinda (Brian) Howerton and their children Reagen and Dylan of Yakima.
