Janet Ruth Anderson

Janet (Jan) R. Anderson passed away in the early morning of October 29, 2023. She was at the Cottage in the Meadow with her husband Guy Anderson by her side. Jan, the eldest of four children of James and Evelyn Sade, was born on July 24, 1952 in Newport Arkansas. When she was 5 years old her family moved to the Wenatchee Valley where she attended Rock Island grade school and Eastmont High.

As an adult she planted roots in Yakima where she worked as a hair stylist and owned her own salon. In 2005 Jan married Guy Anderson. Together they shared their love of classic cars and traveling to car shows with her 1965 Mustang. She also enjoyed going camping, fishing, gardening and reading.

Jan was unable to have children of her own but she helped raise many, including 2 of her nieces, Jessica Sade and Jamie Johnson, she was more of a mother to them than an aunt.

Jan was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Jeffrey and James “Mike” Sade and a nephew Alex Sade. She is survived by her husband Guy, sister Ginny (Rick) Roberts, 7 nieces, 1 nephew and 10 Grand nieces and nephews.
