

Jean was born in Seattle, Washington on November 4th, 1933 but spent most of her life in Yakima, where she was a cherished member of the community. She started her career at a young age, working with her parent's at Gasperetti's Restaurant in Union Gap, WA., and later working with her brother at Gasperetti's Gourmet Restaurant for 54 years. She was the first face you saw upon entering, greeting everyone who came through the door with her warm and caring personality.
While working at her parents' restaurant in Union Gap she met the love of her life, Kenneth Lemke. The two were married in 1955 and were together for over 50 years, raising two daughters and building a beautiful home.
Jean found great fulfillment in her family, as well as her passions for cooking and gardening. Her warmth and dedication to these pursuits left a lasting impression on those who knew her.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Debbie Lemke and Katherine Kloster (Jerry), as well as her brother, John Mario Gasperetti (Brad Patterson), Grandson Ryan Moore, Granddaughter Nicole Herzog (Scott) and Great-granddaughter Amelia Moore. Jean was preceded in death by her parents,Minnie and Mario Gasperetti and her husband, Kenneth Lemke.
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 18, 2025, at the Yakima Country Club at 1pm to honor Jean’s memory and the impact she had on the lives of those around her. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
