

Jean graduated from Yakima High School. She continued her education at the University of Washington where she was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority After graduation she worked for the Department of Agriculture.
Jean married Bob Lewis on December 27, 1948 and started their family which grew to four children.
Jean enjoyed traveling with her family, boating in the San Juan Islands, waterskiing and spending time on the Oregon coast. Jean and Bob loved to travel and were fortunate to travel the world. Many of their travels were done in their airplane, enough so that Jean got her pilots license in 1972.
Jean was a member of the Yakima Tennis Club where she played for many years. She was an active member of Junior Aid aka Junior League.
Jean was a partner in Snowmountain Peddlers Estate Sales with Barb Carlson and Louise Marble. To Jean it became more of a hobby than a business.
Jean was a member of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church. She was a member of their guild and helped with the food pantry for many years.
Jean was preceded in death by husband, Bob, son Paul, brother Tom Hall, sisters Mary Picatti and Fran Fuller. She is survived by daughter Diane Carey (Pat), sons John (Nancy) Lewis and Ross Lewis and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A service will be held at a later date.
