Our beloved wife and mother, Jeanette Olson passed through the gates of Heaven to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 16, 2026. Jeanette was born at home June 3, 1941 to Cleo and Wilma Brown in Tieton, WA.
She attended Highland School District and later Naches High School where she graduated in 1959. While attending Naches High School she met the love of her life Denis Olson. They were married June 11, 1961 and shared almost 65 years of marriage.
Jeanette was a beautician for the beginning of her married life and later left the trade to help run the family dairy and farm and raise their two boys Darin and Aaron. She continued to cut hair for family and friends until she was no longer able to, due to arthritis in her hands.
When not farm or chasing two boys, she baked wedding and birthday cakes and cookies for extra money. Her kitchen in later years was known as “The Far-Out Inn” by friends and neighbors. There was always coffee, a pie and/or cookie ready for the starved appetite.
Along with never turning anyone away from her door, she never turned away a stray dog or cat. They always found their forever home at her house.
The family would like to thank all those that visited Jeanette in the hospital, with a special thank you to Tammy and Barb, her niece and sister.
Jeanette is survived by her husband Denis Olson, sons Darin Olson and Aaron (Tracy) Olson, grandson Elijah Olson, granddaughter Kathryn Craig (John Church) and honorary grandson Chris Walker. And many other dear family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday 3/27 at Keith and Keith Funeral Home from 3:00 until 7:00. Graveside services will be held at Wapato Reservation Cemetery on Saturday 3/28 at 10:00. A reception will follow at the Wapato first Baptist Church , 151 W Wapato Rd. in Wapato. Memorials are suggested to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital Stjude.org/donate today or the lower valley pet rescue.
