

Joan Carol Lillich was born in St. Louis Missouri to Bertha and Gilbert Aselmann. She met Victor Otto Lillich at St. John’s in Winfield Kansas. They married in June 1955. Victor was a Lutheran pastor, and they started their life in Minnesota adding three sons. A move to Santa Fe, NM added two daughters. They eventually moved to Yakima WA.
Joan is preceded in death by her parents Bertha and Gilbert, sister Arlene, husband Victor and son Paul. She is survived by her children Philip Lillich (Joey), James Lillich (Lisa Shane), Rebecca Quesnell (Ed), Lisa Vickers (Robert), 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Joan enjoyed being an active member of the different churches that Victor served.
She was always in the church choir, LWML, and other community organizations. Joan loved to play pinochle, bridge and dice games. Family camping trips usually included her making blueberry pancakes in the morning. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, knitting, flower gardening and traveling. Her favorite vacation spot was Kona Hawaii.
She will always be remembered for her singing, laugh and unwavering faith.
Whenever we were together you could feel the love that she had for her family no matter where we were.

A celebration of her life will be held at the Terraces at Summitview Auditorium, 3801 Summitview Ave, Yakima, WA 98902, at 11am on Saturday, July 19, 2025.
