Joann Lucille Parish, 85, of Groton, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2026. She was born September 9, 1941, in Groton, Connecticut, to Edward and Lucille Brodsky.
Joann will be lovingly remembered for her warm, kind, and gentle spirit. She was truly devoted to her family and found joy in the simplest, most beautiful things in life. She had a tender heart for all animals – the kind of person who would stop in the middle of a busy road just to let them pass safely.
An avid gardener with a gifted green thumb, Joann took great pride in her roses, tending to them with love and patience. Her garden was a reflection of who she was – beautiful, caring, and full of life.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Joann is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, her children, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, and many dear friends who became family.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard, whom she truly adored and now joins again.
