John J. Mirelez II, 53, passed away peacefully at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his family on July 28, 2021. He was born on May 31, 1968 to Juan Jose Mirelez and Maria Cantu Mirelez in Moses Lake, Washington.
John spent his youth in Moses Lake where he graduated from Moses Lake high school in 1986. He enjoyed playing baseball and fishing with his friends and family. He was one of nine children Thomas, Frank, Marty, Theresa, Virginia, Mary Jane, Tony and Lupe, supporting each other all their lives.
He settled in Yakima, Washington where he met his wife, Pamela Mirelez in 2000 then later married in 2012. They had their son John Mirelez III and two daughters, Tori and Tara Conrad. He worked for Bruner Painting where he was a loyal shop manager and highly skilled custom painter. He had a natural talent for what he did and it showed through his work. John coached boys baseball at A.C Davis High School and Little League 2005-2014. He loved spending time with friends and family, whether it was a bbq in the backyard or going fishing and getting ready for the next fish fry.
He could tell some great stories and some even better jokes. John was the life of every party and the joy to everyone’s day. John lived a humble life. Everywhere you saw him, he was wearing a big smile and one of his favorite Cubs baseball hats. That’s how we will always remember him. Keep swinging.
