A great man was called home on Father’s Day, June 18, 2017.
Growing up, he was Dad to us and all of our friends. Once he became a grandpa, he was known as Papa to so many that never knew his real name. He welcomed them all into the family just like his own, and they all loved him just like their own!
Every time he saw you, he would try to have a new joke for you! He never met a stranger and many family trips were delayed at rest stops, with us waiting in the car while he was chatting with his newest friend. He was generous beyond words and lived by his favorite movie: “Pay It Forward”.
Johnnie honorably served in the Navy from 1963 – 1972. He retired from Hanford and went to work at Boeing.
Johnnie leaves behind his 3 kids: Mike Roberts (Jolene) of Yakima, Theresa Sellers (Steve) of Pasco, and Kim Sifuentes of Yakima, along with 6 amazing grandsons, and 10 beautiful great grandchildren, 3 granddaughters and all the ones his life touched; his sister, Doris Bishop of Indiana, and 8 Nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service is Monday, June 26, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. at West Hills Memorial Park.
