Joseph “Joe” passed peacefully riding off on a white horse into the arms of the Lord with his family by his side. Joe was born in Yakima, WA on October 9th, 1934.
Joe was the third out of five children born of Vera and Joseph Maginn. He met the love of his life, Cora Frampton, the summer of 1955, and after six months they knew they wanted to spend their life together. They married December 21st, 1955 and were married for 62 years.
The United States Army needed his service so he was drafted to serve in 1957. Joe served his country for four and a half years before being honorably discharged to start his family with his beloved wife. Joe and Cora had four children, Kathy Mullen (Jim) of Royal City, WA, Michael Maginn of Moxee, WA, Connie Rothmeyer (Jeff) of Aberdeen, WA, and Christopher Maginn (Shannon) of Royal City, WA. He was very proud of his children.
Joe was an adventurer. He loved to sit and dream with his family and friends. One of his adventures was to start a janitorial service with his friend Richard Kanzig. He also decided to start a journey with Gary Mahorter on a troller fishing boat. Joe loved to expand his adventures when he discovered the internet. He loved to research and explore. On his down time Joe was outside working on vehicles or out in a Jeep 4 wheeling. Joe’s love for the outdoors ventured him out to streams, lakes or rivers to fish or hunt.
Joe was a proud grandfather to seven children, Jaime Hess (Randy) of Bremerton, WA, Crystal Mullen (Jason) of Port Orchard, WA, Jennifer Morris (Nathan) of Kennewick, WA, Melissa Coats (Chuck) of Ephrata, WA, Randy Rothmeyer (Stacy) of Elma, WA, Sarah Rothmeyer of Elma, WA, and Kendra Burke (Jonathan) of Royal City, WA.
Joe was even more elated when he became a great-grandfather. He was blessed with 14 great-grandchildren.
Joe loved Jesus and he would tell anyone about him that wanted or needed to know. Joe is now in the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, where he is free of his pain and reunited with friends and family that were lost.
Joe is in heaven with his father Joe and mother Vera Maginn, sister Pearl and brother James. Joe is survived by his beloved wife Cora, his four children, seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, his sisters Joann and June and sister-in-law Bette Maginn.
