Josephine "Jo" Eileen Porter

Jo married the love of her life, Larry Porter, on November 17, 1962. They were inseparable until his death in 2004. Together they raised two children, Randy and Tracy. Mom said she was “just a housewife,” but she was so much more. She always put family first. Mom took care of us kids, went to sports events, volunteered at school and was part of the Scottie Boosters.

Mom was a compassionate lady that took care of her family and friends all her adult life. She is survived by her son Randy Porter, daughter Tracy Tuttle, son-in-law Jim Tuttle, grand kids Megan and Trevor Tuttle, and Jessica and Chandler Porter. Her Aunt Velda and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins were loved by her dearly.

Mom loved Tillies’ Girls. She had a lot of fun at their luncheons and I can’t thank them enough for everything. We also want to thank everybody in Dr. Bauer’s office, Dr. Paolocci, Mary and Grace at Cottage in the Meadow. All these people took care of our mom at one time or another.

Mom was adamant about not having a funeral and is being cremated and laid to rest with Dad. If you want to celebrate her life raise a HOT steaming cup of coffee or please donate to cancer care, diabetes or stroke research.
