Josiah was a kind and loving young man whose magnetic personality and tall, dark, and handsome good looks made him the center of attention in any room. His ambition and passion to pursue a modeling career were a perfect fit for his charm, charisma, and suave demeanor. Intelligent and thoughtful, Josiah always sought to lift others’ burdens, even while carrying so much of his own. He was a vibrant light in our lives and remains an unending flame in our hearts.
With broken hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved son, Josiah Westley Redman, who left us on January 28th, 2026 at the age of 17. He was born on May 28th, 2008 at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.
Josiah was a very striking and charismatic young man. He was beautiful from the inside out. He had the ability to attract those around him, influence others, and inspire those who came in contact with him due to his confidence and empathetic nature. He was very polite, sweet, gentle, and caring.
He had such an affectionate smile that he warmed the hearts of others. He was selfless, humble, and always cared more about other people‘s well-being than he did his own.
He was a very meticulous young man and a sharp dresser. He loved playing basketball and soccer as well as socializing with his siblings and friends. He also loved his music and loved to drive.
Josiah‘s aspirations were that of acting and becoming a model for this was something that came naturally to him. And to start talent agency that focused on respectfully developing while ethically treating prospective models and actors. He also wanted to help troubled kids to rise above their own circumstance.
Josiah is deeply loved and will be forever missed by his parents, Justin Redman and Sherniece Redman Doddroe and by his siblings, Casilda Redman, Persephone Redman, Japheth Redman, Jaasiel Redman, Jeshua Doddroe, Edelweiss Redman, Jaiden McCartney-Pegram, and Jenesis Mccartney – Pegram.
He will be missed and loved by his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, close friends as well as by his teachers and anyone else that knew him. He is preceded in death by Sybil Pleasant.
Our hearts are shattered by this loss, and we will carry Josiah’s memory with us in everything we do. ”Though his time with us was far too short, the love he gave us will last our entire lives.” We will always love you my “gentle giant!” Until we see you again.”
