Juanita Marie Combs

Juanita Mitchell Kester Combs 80 of Tieton passed away Tuesday July 10th after a short illness. Juanita was born Feb. 11, 1932 to Claud and Leora Mitchell in McClurg, Missouri. She married Elmer Kester and the family moved to Selah, WA, where she worked in the fruit industry, primarily for Zirkle Fruit. Together they enjoyed camping and fishing with friends and family.

Juanita is survived by 4 sons, Don Kester & Robert Kester of Yakima, Rex Kester and Richard Kester of Tieton also 1 foster daughter, Angel Sager of Yakima; 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She is also survived by 4 sisters, Joan Richardson and Dorothy Morris of Selah, Ernestine Rushing of Yakima and Wilma Nehls of Naches and 2 brothers, Harvey Mitchell of Naches and Glenn Mitchell of California and her last relative in McClurg, Arlene Henningpen and good friend Darrell “Joe” Smith. Juanita was preceded in death her husbands Elmer Kester and Jim Combs, her parents Claud & Leora Mitchell and her brother Warren Mitchell.

At Juanita’s request there will be no services. She was a loving & devoted mother and grandmother and in her last wish for the family to remember and hold close the memories of Mom & Dad and there love that binds us all together. Also special thanks to all the family who helped non stop during the last days and rights so Juanita could stay at home.
