She attended East Valley high school, graduating in 1956. Karen married James Siebol in 1957. Karen and James went on to have three children, Bruce, Rodney and Candice.
Karen was a housewife who also was the financial manager of several family businesses throughout the years. Karen was a talented musician, often playing the piano and organ during church services. In 1989, she married the love of her life, Joe Murillo. Joe and Karen built a new home in Yakima where they took pride in keeping a beautiful yard. Karen and Joe enjoyed attending Sunday Mass as members of Holy Family Church in Yakima.
Karen survived by her husband Joe Murillo of Yakima, WA., sister Susie (Mark) Serra of Atlanta, Georgia, children Candice (William) Clark of Oxnard, CA., Bruce (Dee) Siebol of Yakima, WA., stepchildren Gina (Larry) Davison, Yakima, WA., Felicia (Scott) Gray, Goldendale, WA., Michelle (Rich) Murillo-Ren , Seattle, WA., Joseph Murillo, Seattle, and Monica (Dwayne) Hallman, Yakima, WA. She is also survived by her daughter in law Adeline Siebol of Yakima, WA.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Breanne (BJ) DeRuyter, Melissa (Jeff) Niblett, Katelyn Rheinschild, Kacy Siebol, Nicole (Leon) Martin, Ryan (Ying) Davison, Kyle (Christine) Davison, Sienna Gray, Skyler Gray, Sonja Murillo-Oaks, Nathan (Carrie) Murillo-Oaks, Michael O’Bryan, Quinn Krivanek . She also has 18 great grandchildren.
Karen is preceded in death by her father Jared Laney, mother Genevieve Laney Schlenker and son Rodney Siebol.
Karen loved her family and was a doting grandmother. She loved music and animals.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 13, 2025 at Holy Family Church at 10:00 am. It will be followed by graveside service at Terrace Heights Memorial Park.
