After settling in Selah with her husband, Bill, she built a loving home for their 3 children. On occasion, she worked at a few local warehouses, and always became a best friend to anyone around her. She volunteered for many organizations; Den Mother, 4-H Leader, American Legion Auxiliary, and acting secretary, treasurer, and chaplain for some of these.
Mrs. Miller loved to fish, hunt and travel along with her husband. They took numerous trips to Alaska, Arizona and Baja California. They raced their quarter horses up & down the coasts from Vancouver, B.C. to California. She braved many horseback excursions with friends. The most impressive was her trip around the base of Mt. Rainer.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jackie Bill Miller; a brother, Oren Smith; sisters, Iris Ryan, & Harriet Koss & grandson, Bradley J. Miller. She is survived by son Robert and wife Beth Miller of Anacortes, WA; son Larry and wife Diep Miller of Yakima and daughter Nora Ann Nehls and husband David of Seattle, as well as 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
