Kathy Shelton

Ona Kathleen (Kathy) Mundy Shelton of Yakima, Wa. passed away peacefully on February 18, 2017 at Cottage in the Meadow surrounded by loved ones. Kathy was born June 2, 1931 in Bedford, Indiana to Walter and Cora Mundy.

Kathy married Earnest Shelton in 1946 in Yellville, Ark.; they moved their family to the Yakima Valley in 1954 where they raised seven children.

Kathy loved being on the go. She loved visiting friends and family. She would always put others needs before her own. She was a helper whenever and wherever she could assist. She was very active in the Fruitvale Grange.

Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, son Gary (Shirley), granddaughters Lori Ann Finney and Danette Casey, and great grandson Sean Casey. She is survived by her children, Daniel (Joan), Vern, Nancy Cooley, Jane (Avey) Williams, Liz Finney, and Pam Orr, 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Please join her family in a Celebration of Life and potluck on Saturday, March 4th at 1 PM, at Fruitvale Grange, 2908 Castlevale Rd., Yakima.
