For richer or poorer.
In sickness and in health.
Till death do us part.
On October 2, 2018, Kim Hochstatter was called home to be with JESUS. Upon arriving in Heaven, she was greeted by her father, Russell Rogers, who passed one year ago this month and her grandmother, Frances Jetton. She was also greeted by her husband’s parents whom she had never met since they passed many years ago. She also got to meet Jordan, her child she lost to miscarriage. She is survived by her husband, Douglas Hochstatter, her children, Seth Ashley, who she raised alone till he was 11, his wife, Brianna, Tonia Rhoads-Hochstatter, who she and her husband adopted, her fiance, Bryce, and Lily Hochstatter, her mother, Linda Rogers, her brother, Paul Rogers, his wife, Kari, their children, Charity and Jeremiah. She also lives on through her grandchildren, Seth Russell Ashley and Brantlee Goodenough. Not to mention three dogs and four cats.
Kim was born in Yakima on November 24, 1965. Her favorite place she lived as a child was Anchorage, Alaska. She graduated from Highland High School in 1984. Her proudest personal accomplishment was earning her radiology technologist license from Yakima Valley Community College in 2003. Although she was unable to continue the job she loved after having the majority of her spine fused three years ago, she continued to renew her license as she had worked too hard to let it go.
The two most important things to her were her relationship with JESUS CHRIST and her family. She adored her grandchildren and cherished every moment she spent with them. She also enjoyed camping, fishing, reading, sewing and knitting. She loved to play the piano while singing worship songs.
Kim had been in continuous pain since the surgery that made her unable to work. She hurt standing up, sitting and laying down. Thank GOD she is hurting no more. She can run, jump, dance or do back flips. She will forever be remembered as a strong, inspiring woman who was willing to do anything for the family she loved so much.
Don’t look for Kim in a cemetery, cause that’s a place that she won’t be.
Don’t search for her in a hole in the ground, that is some place she won’t be found.
Just look for her in the heaven zone, singing and shouting around GOD’s throne.
A celebration of Kim’s life will be held at Christian Life Center, 716 N. 40th Ave., Yakima on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.
