Kwanpast “Paula” Thanshawhas-Inklab passed from this life on May 17, 2023 while
undergoing care at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle. She was born on January 15, 1979 to Aphichat Phongplugsakul and Phanit Thanshawhas-Phongplugsakul in Udon Thani, Thailand. Paula graduated from college in 2005 in Accounting. She worked in the family Furniture retail business. Paula tripled the size of the family’s stores within a matter of only a few years. Shortly after graduation, she met Mahakit Inklab; they married in early 2007. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to the United States for
Mahakit’s education. They lived in Pittsburgh for 3 years then moved to Seattle, they returned to
Thailand in 2011 then back to the United States and eventually settling in Yakima.
Paula loved to travel. She and Mahakit traveled the world together, settling in Thailand in 2017 then to Yakima. Paula is survived by her parents of
Thailand, her husband Mahakit of Yakima and her daughter Natania.
A memorial service for Kwanpast will be held Saturday, May 27, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Keith & Keith Funeral Home, 902 West Yakima Ave, Yakima, WA 98902. Following the memorial service will be a livestream at 11:00 AM.
