

He was then drafted into the Army where he served in the Vietnam War, in the 173rd Airborne; he received an award for a perfect 500 point score on the physical proficiency test held at the end of his advanced infantry training at Ft. Lewis.
He later married Karen Meyers on April 4th, 1981. Larry had two daughters, Nichole and Kala, and two grandchildren, Josh and Morgan. He was also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family and loved ones.
Larry and Karen owned and operated Hyatt Paving and Excavation in Alaska for over 18 years before returning to Yakima. He retired here and kept up with hobbies such as golf and cribbage.
Larry passed away December 15th at 2 pm at Memorial Hospital.
His service will be held at Keith and Keith Funeral Home at 902 W. Yakima Ave. in Yakima on Tuesday December 22nd at 2 pm.
After services we will gather at Jacksons on 48th and Tieton Dr. for a celebration of life.
