

He was born on July 9, 1926 in Springfield, MO to Noel and Minnie (Roberts) Maybee. Leo served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
Leo married Marian Maver on Dec. 22, 1947 in Coeur d’lene, ID. In the early 50’s they moved to the Ahtanum area where they built their first house. He started working for Yakima Cement Products and then started his masonry career working for several masonry contractors in the valley. Leo and Marian moved to Selah in 1963, eventually ending up in Moxee.
In his earlier years, he loved to water ski at Rimrock Lake. He also loved to hunt and fish. Leo really enjoyed cutting fire wood. He loved to run the chain saw, watching the chips fly. In his later years, he became a snowbird and spent the winters in Yuma, AZ.
Leo is survived by his wife, Marian of Moxee; son, Paul (Obdulia) of Moses Lake, WA; sister, Barbara Harley of Missouri; grandchildren, Marcy Garcia of Kennewick, WA, David Maybee of Green Acres, WA and Lynnette Maybee of Moses Lake, WA and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Donald in Aug. 2013.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Keith and Keith Funeral Home.
Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 10th at West Hills Memorial Park.
