

Lester (Les) Ray Webster, 79, died November 8, 2015, at Cottage in the Meadow, Yakima, Washington, after a prolonged illness. He was surrounded by wife, Nilah, family, and friends. Les was born Dec. 16, 1935, in Gainesville, MO during a snowstorm to Walter and Bessie (Mahan) Webster.
He is survived by his wife Nilah, brother, Dean Webster, 2 children, 2 stepsons, 6 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren and numerous other family and many friends.
He was a graduate of Selah High School Class of 1956. Les owned and operated Webster's Excavation until his retirement in 2000. During his retirement he enjoyed their second home in Chandler, Arizona and golfing with all of his Arizona buddies. Les was considered the neighborhood "community organizer."
The great loves of his life were his wife, family, classmates from high school, and especially golf and gardening. He was known for his boundless generosity.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., on Friday, November 13, 2015 at Langevin El Paraiso Funeral Home, 1010 W. Yakima Avenue, Yakima. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. A reception will be held at the conclusion of the service.
