There are some people who simply make life brighter.

Lilly Lee Anderson was one of them!

Lilly passed away peacefully on July 10th, 2026, at the age of 94.

Leaving behind a lifetime of memories filled with laughter, friendship, and adventure.

Born October 25th, 1931, to J.G. & Lily Magnusson in Yakima, Washington.

Lilly lived with a spirit that never seemed to slow down!

Lilly married George Gradon Lee on June 18th, 1951, in Yakima and together they built a loving family in Torrance, California.

In 1986 she found love again when she married Marvin (Andy) Anderson. They returned to her family home where she was born in Yakima, Washington where they shared many happy years.

To know Lilly was to know someone who embraced life with passion, whether she was in the swimming pool, on the ski slopes or walking the fairways of the Yakima Country Club. She approached every challenge with determination and a smile!

She spent many years as a swimming instructor at Victor Benstead Plunge in Torrance, California helping countless young swimmers gain confidence in the water. Her own love of swimming never faded and in 1990, she proudly placed fifth in a national USA Swimming Tournament in Washington, competing in her signature event.. the backstroke.

Golf became another lifelong passion! A devoted member of the Yakima Country Club, Lilly treasured both the game and the friendships it brought her.

One of her proudest accomplishments came June 23rd, 2015, when at age “84” she hit her first hole-in-one, which perfectly captured that it’s never too late to accomplish something extraordinary! Her encouragement motivated many friends to go… “Just one more hole!”

During the winter months Lilly could be found skiing at White Pass. She loved the outdoors.

There were always good stories and laughter with a glass of wine on her veranda with many of her special friends!

Lilly is survived by her children; Victoria Hamblet, husband (Tom), Brant Lee, Cindy Lee Nylund, husband (Keith), and her grandchildren: Monica, Gradon, Justin, Whitey (Thomas), her granddaughter Lacey, and her great-great granddaughters, Paislee and Addee.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

We will miss our “Golden Girl!”
