Lisa was an exceptionally kind and loving person who now rests in the arms of her Heavenly Father and is reunited with her earthly dad who she profoundly adored.
Lisa was educated in the Yakima schools. She graduated from Eisenhower High School in the class of 2005. After high school she attended YVCC. Lisa worked various jobs in retail over the years, but since she discovered she was more nocturnal she worked nights for a distributing company.
Lisa grew up in a family of love, compassion, and Christian values. She enjoyed swimming in the backyard pool, golfing in the Elks Junior Golf Program, and participating in plays at Melody Lane. Travel was also a high point. Lisa loved her trips to Disneyworld, Hawaii, New York, Okinawa, and especially spending summers at the beach.
In later years Lisa never failed to be with family to celebrate holidays and carry on family traditions. A particularly fond memory was Mother's Day when she was 8 years old. She peddled her bike to Rite Aid, and with the few coins in her pocket, purchased the only thing she could afford. Though they were withered flowers from the clearance table, they were beautiful in her mother's eyes.
Another passion of Lisa's life was animals. She was always rescuing her family critters. She had a special knack for communicating with dogs. Her family called her "the dog whisperer." She leaves behind her devoted German Shepherd named Shadow. Lisa was his life and we know he is grieving dearly for her now.
Lisa is preceded in death by her late dad, Ron Donaldson, Grandparents Russell and Carol Donaldson, and Edward and Marjorie Liebert.
Lisa is survived by her amazing 15 year old son, Jalen Donaldson, who she loved dearly, her mom Sheryl Graham, Step-dad Michael Graham, her brother USAF Major Christopher Donaldson (Janea), Nephew Gunnar Donaldson, Niece Ryah Donaldson, Step-mother Lo Donaldson, two step-brothers, one step-sister, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Lisa sadly leaves behind her life partner and soul mate, Ron Sutton, who was with her when she passed away. She most certainly leaves a huge emptiness in all our hearts.
A private family gathering will be held at a later time.
