Louise Darlene Anderson

Louise Darlene Anderson, the youngest daughter of Oswald and Dorothy Lince was born in Saint Elizabeth Hospital March 21st 1941. She joined her three siblings Lowell (Joann), Ron (Barbara) and Joyce (Leo Daugherty). The family children grew up in Selah, attending Selah schools from first through twelfth grades. Louise attended college at Yakima Valley College.

While in high school, Louise played clarinet in the band, played on the Tennis team, tumbling team and was on the Selah swim team. She also took piano lessons, worked at the Selah Café and was a lifeguard at the Selah pool.

The summer following her junior year she met a kid from Highland on a blind date whom she “knew he was the one she was going to marry”. Sure enough two years later, on September 6, 1960, she and Gary Anderson were indeed married in the Selah Methodist Church. It was the beginning of “life’s adventure with Gary”.

The couple moved to Seattle where they lived a year and were blessed with their first child, Teresa Michelle. They moved to Lynnwood where they bought their first home in 1961 and enjoyed 12 years filled with many adventures and celebrations. In 1963 they were blessed with their second child, Angela Dawn and two years later, their third child, Jeffrey Michael. During those years Gary, Louise and the kids attended Esperance church where Louise became a leader in their Pioneer Girls program. At home, she was also a leader in Camp Fire girls and Cub Scouts. In 1974, the family was transferred by Gary’s company to Billings, Montana where they bought a house and lived for three years. Their next transfer was to Spokane where they built a house and lived three years.

The family decided to “semi-retire” and move back to Yakima to assist Gary’s father in managing his apple ranches. They built a house in the Cowiche area and have lived there for the past 42 years. Thirty two of those years, Gary and Louise were blessed as members of West Valley Church where Louise served as Missionary president for 8 years. She was able to go on “Work and Witness” trips to Costa Rica and, with Gary, to Nairobi, Kenya, where they, along with several members of West Valley Church worked to help build church buildings. In 2010, Gary and Louise transferred membership to Naches Nazarene Church where they have been very blessed.

Louise and Gary’s children have blessed them with 10 wonderful Grandchildren. Teresa and Frank have Staci, Alison and Dylan. Angey and Bob have Brandon, Samantha, Riley and Derek. Jeff and Paula have Heath, Heather and Taylor. Oh yes, there are 6 Great grandchildren: Mylah and Parker (Samantha and Pete), Ava and Adrian (Alison and Juan), Izzy (Taylor) and Hans (Dylan and Heather). These Children, Grand Children and Great Grand Children were the delight of Louise’s life She always had cookies and love ready for when they came to our house .The kids and Grandkids came along on camping excursions whenever they could and there were always big family celebrations at Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter time at Grandma’s house (and any other time we could get together). The relationship has always been very loving and special to Louise and Gary.

Then an Angel Came…

August 17, 2026 at ll:02 PM, Louise went from her hospital bed to be at home with Jesus Christ in Heaven. Gary and Jeff were holding her hands and the rest of the cherished family that Louise loved so much surrounding her bed. God had decided it was her time. She had suffered a heat stroke August 14, 2018 and had been in a wheel chair for the past 8 years and 3 days. She could only speak very quietly due to Parkinson disease (30 years) and vocal cord damage from being over intubated. We know she is is a better place now where she will be free of all disabilities. Praise be to Christ our Lord who has made a perfect place for her in Heaven.
