

Lu Ellen was born in Geary, OK on February 25, 1934 to William and Lula Scott. She married Dwight “Doc” E. Stewart in 1953 and two years later they moved to Wapato, WA. Ellen worked in the canneries and Pomeroy’s Cycle Shop until she and Doc opened Stewart’s Corner in 1973. They operated the business for twenty years in conjunction with Stewart’s New and Used in Zillah, WA.
Survivors include a son, Randy Stewart (Tammi) of Yakima, daughter Tammie Stewart (TJ) of Pe Ell, WA, one granddaughter, Candice Broom (Ryan), one grandson, William “Ian” Duncan, two great-granddaughters, Chloe Hernandez and Sadie Hernandez, one brother, Jack Scott (Linda), and companion Mike Watson.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dwight “Doc” Stewart, her parents William C. Scott and Lula M. Scott, brothers Todd and Alvin Scott and JoJo.
There will be no formal services at this time but there will be a celebration of life held at a later date for family and friends. Keith and Keith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
