Manuel G. Arambul

Manuel G. Arambul passed away peacefully on Friday, July 6, 2018 at the age of 90. He was born to Jose and Guadalupe Guerrero Arambul on May 28, 1928 in Harlington Texas and was a resident of the Yakima Valley since 1945. Manuel was a truck owner and a labor contractor who helped many local farmers harvest their crops (beets, corn and potatoes). His passion was “Trucking”, when he first saw the rich agriculture of the Yakima Valley, he thought he’d died and gone to “Hauler’s Heaven”. He was hard working and dedicated to his trade. He was also known to be political in his views and opinions on discrimination, social justice issues, and working conditions for farm workers. He was a frequent caller to Radio Cadena and other local radio stations. He enjoyed discussing and debating hot issues and current events. Manuel was married to Guadalupe Silva on October 13, 1946 and has 7 children (Omar, Raul, Delia, Hilda, Joseph, Manuel Jr and Richard). He is survived by 6 of his children and their spouses. Omar (Brenda), Raul (Oralia), Delia (Ron) Bravo, Joseph (Jennifer) Hilda (Ruben) Ruiz and Manuel Jr. (Jacqueline) and a host of loving Grandchildren, Great-Grandchilden, Nieces, and Nephews. He is proceeded in death by his parents Jose and Guadalupe Arambul, his two brothers Juan and Luis Arambul, his wife Gaudelupe and his son Richard Arambul. He will always be remembered for his strong work ethic and traditional “Tejano” values. He was very social with friends and family in his daily life and continued to make new friends up to the end of his days. Viewing and Vigil will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Keith and Keith Funeral Home in Yakima, WA from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Cathedral in Yakima, WA. Burial will follow at Reservation Community Memorial Park in Wapato, WA.
