Margie Ruth Deatherage

Margie Ruth Deatherage was born on November 17, 1936 in Gamaliel, Arkansas. Margie passed from this life on May 29, 2025 into the loving arms of Jesus. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert and her firstborn son, Robert Jr. She is survived by her children, Jeffrey Deatherage (Kelly), Laurie Bernard (Scott), Steven Deatherage (Sue) and daughter-in-law, Patty Deatherage; ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren, with a seventeenth on the way.

Margie graduated from Bakersfield High School in 1955, where she met her sweetheart, Robert. They married in 1956, moved to Yakima in 1963 where they raised their four children. Margie became a nurse in 1969 and worked for many years at Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Yakima.

Margie was a faithful member of the Church of Christ, and dearly loved the Lord. In her later years, she read the Bible for hours at a time. She really wanted to know what heaven would be like and was anxious to be there. Well, now she knows, and is worshiping her beloved savior with all those who have passed into glory before her.

Margie will be missed dearly by her friends and family.
