Maria Abundiz-Espindola

Our sweet Maria Abundiz Espíndola went to heaven on the morning of May 25th, 2020 surrounded by family at the age of 71. Maria is survived by her husband of 52 years, Eudoro Abundiz and her daughters Nora, Maria, Trinidad, Zoila, and Clementina, as well as her sons Ramón, Audoro and Acensión. In heaven, she joins her late son Jaime. Her greatest earthly joys were her beautiful grandchildren and great grandchild; many of whom she raised as her own while providing childcare.

Maria will be forever remembered for her devotion to Christ as she was the epitome of loving as the Lord has called us to do. Leaving her homeland by the side of her husband with little besides a belief that the Lord would provide, her little family settled in Yakima, Washington. The family continued to grow and grow. She spent her days sacrificing and working tirelessly to care for her household - no expectation of a returned favor, no complaints, not even a grumble.

Maria was a beacon of light, a rock of support, an open ear and always provided a beautiful smile with her arms wide open for a long embrace. Her table was always bountiful and in a moments notice she would provide for anyone who joined her. It was her pleasure to serve and the more, the merrier. Her table was the centerpiece that kept her family close. It provided nourishment to not only fill ones belly, but also to enrich our lives with the company of each other. It was at these times that you could tell Maria's heart was happy and full. The sounds around her table could be heard throughout the neighborhood.

She had a sweet spot for all of her grandchildren. When watching her grandchildren, her eyes would glow with happiness as she would kiss, hug, play and sing to them with undeniable whole-heartedness. Prayers of joy, the laughter of siblings, the wrestling of children will forever ring in our hearts and minds when we recall the legacy that she leaves behind.

Un Nuevo Angel al Lado del Trono de Dios

Nuestra dulce María Abundiz Espíndola se fue al cielo la mañana del 25 de Mayo del 2020 rodeada de su familia a los 71 años de edad. María es sobrevivida por su esposo, Eudoro Abundiz, con quien estuvo casada por 52 años. También por sus hijas, Nora, Maria,Trinidad, Zoila, y Clementina; y sus hijos, Ramón, Audoro y Acensión. En el cielo ella se reunió con su hijo fallecido, Jaime. El gran gozo de su vida eran sus hermosos nietos y bisnieta; muchos de los cuales fueron criados como sus hijos en su guardería.

María siempre será recordada por su devoción a Cristo Jesus. Ella fue el mejor ejemplo de amor al cual el Señor nos ha llamado. Dejó su tierra natal al lado de su esposo con muy poco, pero con la confianza de que Dios proveería para su familia. Se estableció en Yakima Washington, donde su familia continuó creciendo. Paso sus días sacrificándose y trabajando incansablemente para cuidar su hogar, sin esperar nada a cambio y sin quejarse.

María fue un faro de luz, una roca de apoyo, dispuesta a escuchar, siempre con una hermosa sonrisa y brazos abiertos para dar un abrazo fuerte y prolongado. En su mesa siempre había comida y una disposición a preparar algo al instante. Era un placer para ella servir y entre más personas, mejor. Su mesa era la pieza central que mantenía a su familia cerca. Daba alimentos no solo para nutrir nuestros cuerpos, sino también para enriquecer nuestras vidas con la comunión entre unos y otros. En estos momentos se notaba que su corazón estaba lleno y feliz. Las pláticas de la mesa se podían escuchar en el vecindario.

Sus nietos tenían un lugar muy especial en su corazón. Cuando cuidaba a sus nietos sus ojos se llenaban con un brillo de felicidad al besarlos, abrazarlos, jugar y cantarles, indudablemente de todo corazón. Las oraciones de gozo, las carcajadas de los hermanos, y los pleitos de los niños resonarán en nuestros corazones y mentes al recordar el legado que nos deja al partir.
