April 30, 1948 – August 28, 2026
On August 28, 2026, we said goodbye to my beloved mother, Maria V. Valero, but heaven welcomed a beautiful soul home.
Born and raised in Abilene, Texas, Maria was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a hardworking woman with a big heart, a fiesty little firecracker who loved fiercely and left an unforgettable mark on everyone who knew her.
She loved spending time in her garden, planting flowers, cooking, baking, and loving on her dogs. In the early 1980s, she met the love of her life, Angel Valero, and now they are together again. She is also reunited with her beautiful daughter, Christina Vasquez.
Maria leaves behind her only son, Art Vasquez, five grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, one brother, and so many family and friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
Though we will miss her more than words can say, we find comfort knowing she is finally reunited with the ones she loved and missed.
