Marjorie Marie Paulson was born October 14, 1930 in Bay Village, Ohio. She graduated from Hamline University, St. Paul, Minnesota in 1952. Married to Robert L Hartwick from 1951 until his death in 1990, she started her family in 1954. She was an elementary school teacher in Edina, MN after returning to the work force. Marge and family moved to Beaverton, OR in 1964; and finally landed in Yakima in 1966. She was a school teacher, office manager, and congressional aide in her professions. Her lively spirit and intrepid loyalty showed up in her volunteerism as well as her work. She was active with Friends of 47 (KYVE support), Community Living, Master Gardeners, Yakima Kiwanis, and others. She will be remembered for her love of music and dancing, family, and gardening. Her wit and spunk will stay in our hearts forever.
She is survived by her loving husband of 24 years William “Berk” Greenwood and her 2 children, Jeff (Patty) Hartwick of Selah and Sandi (Wade) Scoles of Cheney. Also surviving her are 3 stepchildren, 9 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death are her first husband, Robert Leland Hartwick; her brother, Robert Paulson; her parents Kermit A.S. Paulson and Marjorie Chapman Paulson; and her step mother, Lolita Paulson.
The family would like to thank Highgate Senior Living and Compass Care Hospice for making her last days fulfilling and enjoyable.

Public viewing will be available on Thursday, December 19th from 4 pm to 8 pm at Rainier Memorial at 2807 Terrace Heights Dr. in Yakima. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 20th, 10 am at the same location.
