Memories of Mary . . . So many and so precious, just like her smile and the way she served others. We spent four and a half years together at St. Paul Bible College (SPBC/AKA Crown College). The positive attitude she brought to everything and everyone was a testimony to her faith in God and love for people. Even then, that smile was contagious and her will to overcome inspiring. We spent many hours talking about our struggles, aspirations, and dreams. Not to mention all the fun of dorm life, practical joking, and yes, some studying too! Our senior year we shared the chapel stage, giving our Senior Testimonies before the student body. I’m so glad I have that cassette tape now that her voice is gone. We are pictured here April 29, 1984 on graduation day, the last time we were together. Heaven’s door now replaces the years and geography that once separated the intimate bonds formed so long ago. Our faith in Jesus our Saviour brought us together then and will reunite us again. Until we meet again dear, sweet, beautiful friend, I will miss you. . . ~Sandy

Dearest Mary - I celebrate you are free from MD, you are more alive than any of us can imagine! It's not because of anything you have done, but because of your faith in the one true God, Jesus Christ.

Sharing a couple pics ...Jo's wedding with our family at that time...and a pic from Monica's funeral (we were so sad we didn't think to take before Jo headed home. It would be even more precious today)

You and I shared a bedroom, and for years a double bed, all the years we were at home. Late night talks often got us a, "girls, go to sleep, now!" from Mom!! We didn't share too many clothes because you were just too skinny! You were always so perfect, so compliant, no complaining....as adults you often talked of your love for your mountains (and your apple trees) you had in Washington, compared to our flat Great Plains here in South Dakota. Even as a college grad working in, Menomonie, WI, you declared it much prettier than flat old SD.

I know how much you loved your family, and we both agreed, becoming grandparents has been a highlight in our lives. We often said the grandkids are the best medicine for life! And life is not fair, many times not fun, but we know Who wins! God will get us all through! I pray for your family as they are missing you and will for a very long time. You were a rock for them. You were always there.

I love you, Mary....celebrate your new life with Monica....as she said in her last days....it's NOT goodbye, it's SEE YOU LATER!! I pray all your loved ones will see you later....

Mel

My mother was a strong, feisty, and loving woman. She could always smile even when it hurt the most. Her optimism in life was contagious and helped get her family through the toughest times in life, including through her death. I am so thankful to have been raised by such an inspirational woman.
She was such a wonderful Grandmother to my son. Though we don't live close, she was able to build a strong relationship with my son, Johnny. I hope to be able to continue to show him more of her through me.
I hope to always make you proud. I love you Mom!! See you in my next life!!
