Michael Goldsmith, 81, passed away after a short bout of cancer. He was born July 24, 1944 to Robert and Bessie (Stokes) Goldsmith. He was raised in Yakima. He spent 4 years serving in the US Navy deployed in Vietnam. He was employed with the West Valley School District for 26 years as a school bus mechanic. He then spent a few years delivering and assembling wind machines, delivering Mobile Homes, and doing short hauling to and from Seattle and Spokane.
He is survived by his wife Barbara (Riley) of 57 years, and daughter Naomi; brothers Jim (Ann) Goldsmith and Fred Goldsmith, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Bessie, his brother Leroy Goldsmith and twin sisters. He is also preceded in death by his twin daughters Emma and Alma Goldsmith.
Per Michaels wishes, no services are planned. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any local Veteran organizations in his honor.
