Hi Clara: I am so sad to read about Michael's passing. You have endured more than many ever should. I was so thrilled to read the two of you got away to travel and see the world for several years, and winter in AZ.

I currently am in Palm Springs or I would be at Michael's service. I will be saying special prayers for you and your daughter as you transition through this week and the months to come. Blessings to you Clara. Janice said to share, she too is praying for you,

God blessed Shirley, me, and our family through Mike and Clara Gamache. I sat down with Mike and Terry and soon after met Amos when interviewing for an orchard foreman position they had open. In Nov. of 1987 I went to work for Mike at Amos Gamache Farms. This continued for the next 25+ years. Over the years, the job, responsibilities, and the orchard grew. Mike extended a great deal of trust to me for my role in their family farm operation and we shared a mutual trust and respect for one another. We came to develop a very good working relationship which became very beneficial. Mike has always had a high standard of performance and expectation, and he has never been bashful in holding a person to account. My desire was always to meet or exceed that standard (which I didn't always accomplish) and over time this all boosted our working relationship. The Bible teaches us to rejoice with those that rejoice, and weep with those that weep, and over the years your lives become joined, and the memories of laughing and rejoicing, as well as tough times of loss were shared. I'm thankful for the employment, and life journey we shared with Mike and Clara, and the extended Gamache family. (So much more could be said.) God blessed us richly through the generosity and relationships with Mike and his family. As I reflect and look back, I find joy in the memories, and as I look forward, the joy of Eternal Life through Jesus Christ lifts my spirit. May the comfort and love of Jesus Christ meet each of us at our point of need.

I am asking our Resurrection Parish of Zillah prayer angels to pray for the repose of the soul of Michael Gamache and comfort for his wife Clara and their surviving family. Michael and his family have been supporters of many Catholic causes over the years including a patron of Resurrection Parish and many of our parish projects and activities. He and Clara did many supporting activities anonymously never seeking recognition for their support. One of my memories of Michael and Clara were at our parish breakfasts that we held on the first Saturday of each month about 5 years ago. It was a joy to sit and enjoy the breakfast with him and to get caught up on news. He would always say if we needed anything to let him know. When they would attend Mass he always had a handshake, smile and sometimes a good story to share with me. Michael you will be missed.

Obituary at

Rest in peace from John.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Almighty Father, source of forgiveness and salvation, grant that all our relatives and friends who have passed from this life may, through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary and of all the saints, come to share your eternal happiness and that all family members be comforted in their loss. Listen kindly to our prayers, O Lord, and, as our faith in your Son, raised from the dead, is deepened, so may our hope of resurrection for your departed servants also find new strength. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God for ever and ever. Amen.
