

Michel George Vendetti passed away peacefully at home on May 28th, 2025, after losing his hard-fought battle with cancer. Mike was born on May 4th, 1949, in Seattle to Betty L. Howard-Fehrer and George Vendetti.
Mike attended high school in San Francisco, California, and in 1971 he entered active duty with the Marine Corp. Mike’s primary title/occupation was a supply administrator and a packaging foreman and he spent several years in Japan while serving. Mike was honored by the Marine Corp when he received a National Defense Service Medal and a Good Conduct Medal.
Mike loved to laugh and make others laugh; he had a “distinctive” sense of humor, well known to his friends and family. Mike absolutely loved fishing, he enjoyed the casino, he loved his rescue dogs, and he was an artist at heart.
Mike was an upholsterer by profession for over 35 years, and was well known for his business, “Mike’s Upholstery” which he operated for 25 years in Naches, Washington. Mike’s Upholstery wasn’t just a business, it was a gathering place for all his friends, whether old or new. Mike didn’t know a stranger.
Michel is survived by his brothers, Jeff Howard (Kim), Nate Howard (Marci) and his sister Lisa Knutson (Don Schlotfeldt). He is also survived by nephew Jeffrey Knutson and nieces Melanie Foit and Kaci Howard.
Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Betty L. Howard-Fehrer, his father, George Vendetti, and his daughter, Michel Ann Vendetti.
A celebration of life for Mike will be held on September 27th, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Nile Women’s Community Center located at 1891 Nile Road, Naches, WA 98937. In Lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations in Mike’s name to the Yakima Humane Shelter or a local animal rescue.
