Mildred Ruth Pennington Nichols was born January 16, 1921 in Bruno, Arkansas to Tillman Johnson Pennington and Eva Leota Callahan Pennington. She left us peacefully to be with her Lord May 13, 2010 at the age of 89. We will all miss her dearly, she will forever be in our hearts, and a bright star in our sky.
Mildred is preceded in death by her parents Tillman and Eva Pennington; her husband Charles E. Nichols; 2 brothers, Vuell and Everett Pennington; 3 sisters, Gela Luepke, Gila Jennings, and Zelma McNair. Mom is survived by her youngest sister Faye McKean of Yakima; her 4 children Gwen Sandall of Yakima, Jimmy Nichols of Yakima, Dennis Nichols of Overland Park, Kansas and Crystal and husband Robert Sears of OR; 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. Mildred is also survived by her dear life long friends and neighbors.
There will be a Celebration of Mom's Life, 1:00 p.m. August 7, 2010 at Keith & Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel. A gathering for family and friends will follow the service at Randall Park.
