

Janette was born in Yardelle, Arkansas, to Victoria and Guffrey Wallis. She moved to Washington in 1952 and was raised in the Wapato area. After her father retired, the family moved to Yakima.
In 1963, she married James McGuffey. They had two children before divorcing in 1968.
Janette worked as a beautician for 44 years and owned Dorothy's Beauty Salon for 28 years. She became a Christian in 1974 and attended Terrace Heights Baptist Church. She was also a member of the VFW beginning in 1989.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Guffrey and Victoria Wallis; her sister, Marjorie; her brother, Bernnis; and her husbands, Charles Pack, to whom she was married from 1977 to 1989, and Albert Wellner, to whom she was married from 1991 to 2015.
Janette is survived by her husband, Robert “Wayne” Fredrickson, whom she married in 2018; her brother, Darell (Julie) Wallis; her daughter, Charlene (Don) Larson; her son, Steven (Jennifer) McGuffey; her grandchildren, Victoria, Brandon, Thomas, Laura, Cooper, Cecilia, Kris, and Justin; and her great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Trayten, Rieyken, Soren, Hendrix, and Camille.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on September 19, 2026, at Terrace Heights Baptist Church.
