Our beloved Nancy Carolyn Marshall passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family in Yakima, WA on June 4th, 2022 at the age of 81. Nancy was born on October 6th, 1940 in Yakima, WA to Carrel and Anna (nee Vetsch) Morton. She grew up on the Morton Ranch in the Yakima Valley and was surrounded by her family and friends who were always her greatest priority. Blessed with a large, close knit family, Nancy was a supportive mother and grandmother who sacrificed her own comfort and happiness to provide support and love to her children and grandchildren.
Nancy loved to read, travel the world, and care for her pets. She was always sneaking treats to anything on four legs and it wasn’t long before animals preferred her company to others. She often played bunko with friends, went to garage sales, and collected antiques. Nancy was always the first to tell family and friends that they were loved. Her kindness and sense of humor will never be forgotten by anyone who had the pleasure to know her. Nancy was the core of her family and her loss will be deeply felt by all.
Nancy is survived by her children Robert Marshall of Yakima, WA, Lorrie and Daniel Heilman of Wapato, WA, and Cindy and Mark Day of Yakima, WA. As well as her grandchildren, Jill Conto and Anthony Jameson of Federal Way, WA, Ryan Archer of Colorado, Thomas Conto and Savannah Mckenzie of Auburn, WA, Kimberly Conto of Yakima, WA, Kathryn Heilman of Yakima, WA and Madelyn Heilman of Yakima, WA. As well as her great-grandchildren, Ford Conto and Thorne Conto of Auburn, WA and Lyla Jameson of Federal Way, WA. She is also survived by her brother Paul Morton, her nephew Chris (Kim) Morton, and niece Libby (Darren) Giles and their families. She is predeceased by her beloved parents Carrel and Anna Morton.
There will be a service to celebrate Nancy's life on June 24, 2022 at 11 am at West Valley Missionary Church. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at wwwlepfuneralhome.com.
