Nola K Rose

Nola K. Rose of Yakima passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Landmark Care Center in Yakima, WA, surrounded by family. Nola was born November 26, 1928 in Bancroft, ID to Belzora Smith and Wesley Knowles.

Nola married Robert (Bob) Rose on May 9, 1958 in Pocatello, Idaho. Nola was a homemaker and a lifetime member of the VFW Local #26, a member of the Silver Spurs in Silverdale, WA, and a member of the American Legion also of Bremerton.

Nola is survived by her daughter, Kathi (Kio) McCool of Yakima; brother, Ken (Sharon) Knowles; sister, Bonnie (Max) Rigby; four grandchildren, Annette (Lawrence) Menard of Selah, WA, Shane (Denice) McCool of Thorton, CO, Bobby (Sandra) McCool of San Antonio, TX and Lei Lani Skeels; 13 great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Ross and Les; her husband, Robert; two sisters, Donna and Delores; a son, John and one great grandson, Ryan.

At Nola’s request no services will be held. A private family and friend’s celebration of life will be held on April 30, 2017 at a family home.
