Born 1/27/1943 in Yakima WA, passed Sunday 2/11/19 in the good company of her husband Eugene Dennis Brownell, Daughter Wendy Tinkler and Daughter In Laws, Cherish Abercrombie and Yira Brownell, her Grandchildren Benjamin Tinkler, Alicia Brownell, and her great Grandchildren Rose, Gabriel and Henry under the loving care of Compass Hospice and Willow Springs Care.
Norma is survived by Eugene Dennis(Denny) Brownell, married December 3, 1960 in Anchorage Alaska, and they celebrated nearly 60 years together. They have two Children, Wendy Sue Tinkler (Brownell) and Evan Dean Brownell, Four Grandchildren and eight Great Grandchildren.
Norma was a big fan of Christmas and Holiday Celebrations with multiple family members and friends over for large festive meals and baking of Holiday goodies. Norma had an elegant and unique sense of fashion, she loved jewelry and especially the colors blue and purple. She enjoyed music all her life, had a piano in every home, and played for all her family, encouraged music participation and singing with her children and Grandchildren.
She was in Band in Naches High School, in the choir in school and in her religious celebration of life. Her life long friend and Niece, Kae Winsett, sang with Norma in many functions from Childhood into her later years.
Norma was involved in Square Dancing in Oregon for many years, and was also a foreign exchange Host for Diablo Valley College where she had several students from Asia stay in her home while they lived in California. She was well loved in Pierce Court, CA by her neighbors and their Children, who were known to come to Mrs. B's front door step for M&M's on many a summer day.
One of her favorite pass-times was as an excellent seamstress, she made many of her own outfits in High School, and some of her children and Grandchildren's clothing, as well as many Halloween Costumes. She was very involved in the Red Hat Ladies and many local Quilting Groups and made several quilts, for family members, Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Friends.
It is not nearly enough to say she will be missed, her absence will be forever felt in her family hearts, and the hearts of her friends and all the lives she touched through music, and her giving spirit.
