Norman C. “Butch” Barber 60 of Yakima passed away November 3, 2010 from cancer.
He was born July 16, 1950 in Yakima to Norman and LaVerne Barber.
Butch served in the Navy during the Vietnam conflict, aboard the USS Providence and USS Halsey.
His two greatest loves were family and watching NASCAR racing.
Butch is survived by a brother, Ken Barber (Sonda) of Hermiston,OR; sisters Ann Mahoney of Pendleton, OR, Marty McNair of Yakima, Corky(Rick)Harrison of Baker City, OR, Jeannie(Lewis) Barclay of Sedro Woolley, WA; an aunt, Kathy Brown of Yakima, an uncle, Bill(Carole)Quantrell of Yakima; very good friends, Eva Price, Skip Wentz and Judy Montgomery all of Yakima; eleven nieces and nephews; ten great nieces and nephews and also numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and LaVerne Barber; grandparents, Kenneth and Wilma Brown; Aunt Rae Brown and Uncle Larry Brown.
