

Otto William King, age 93, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 18th. He was born in Mitchell, SD on July 5, 1920 to Christina and Reuben King. He moved to the Pacific Northwest following World II and remained here until his death.
He joined the Air Force in September 1942 and served as a Crew Chief with the Hump Pilots in India until he was discharged in November, 1945. Following the military, he joined the Postal Service and was a Rural Mail Carrier until he retired. He married his long time neighbor and love of his life, Betty Zerr in 1980. They built their dream log home in Nile Valley in 1986 and spent many happy years there. Otto was an avid hunter and fisherman, loved the outdoors and particularly loved Betty’s cooking. He had a passion for travel and was always willing to “take a trip”. He was a member of the Nile Valley Chapter of the Lion’s Club.
He was preceded in death by his wife Betty and is survived by his cousin Donna Carr, Step Children Cynthia Rines, Tim Goodman and wife Yonie Goodman, Tina Gridley and husband Arlie Gridley, Kim Hester and husband Kevin Hester; 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
