Patricia Ruth Rennie

Patricia Ruth Rennie,94 of Yakima passed away on February 27 2022. Patricia (Pat) was born June 14 1927 in Snohomish Washington to parents Clayton and Ruth Allard. She moved to new York with her family as a young child then moved to California for a few years before returning to Washington. She was the oldest of seven children and loved being part of a big family. She often spoke of fond memories of attending a small school house when she was young. " It was neat because you got to know everyone". After graduating for Naches high school she worked as an usher at the capital theater and as a telephone operator. Telephone operator was her "favorite". Later she attended business school. She worked at Westinghouse in Yakima for many years until her retirement.

After moving to a farm in Wapato Mom became a member of the Parker Heights Women's Club and the P.T. A. She was also an active member of the Grange Hall during their farming years. For a short time she sold Sarah Coventry jewelry. That was fun! She loved country western music and taught herself how to play a few chords on the guitar, then put together a song book typing all the words to her favorite songs. She loved the Holidays and always made them special for us. When we were in our teens she blessed us with a baby sister! Mom and Dad were thrilled, and so were we.

After retirement she and Dad enjoyed many short trips to Reno including Lake Tahoe with Uncle Marty and Aunt Marge. They also enjoyed annual trips to Lincoln City Oregon with her siblings. She enjoyed her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren ,nephews and nieces. Mom loved to tell stories of her past. Her favorite stories were the humorous ones. No matter how long ago it was they still made her laugh!

Pat was preceded in death by her husband David (Mal), her parents Clayton and Ruth Allard, brothers,Jim,Harry and Clifford,sister Ellen, son Gary, grandson Dan and great granddaughter Jane. She is survived by her sons Keith (Liz), Mike (Terri) and daughters Jeri (Bob), Shannon (Herbie),Trisha (Pat), and numerous grandchildren ,great grandchildren ,nephews and nieces.
