Paul Fritz Carney

Paul Fritz Carney, lovingly known as “Papadoc,” passed away peacefully on August 28, 2026, at the age of 81. He was born on August 21, 1945, in Prescott, Arizona to Paul and Lillian Carney. He has lived his life in various areas in Arizona, Idaho, and most recently the Yakima Valley in Washington.

Paul dedicated his life to caring for animals. He graduated from Colorado State University in 1969 as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. He devoted his career to helping animals and the people who loved them. His deep love for animals was an important part of who he was, both personally and professionally.

He was the father of three children, Paul, John (Melissa), and Anne, grandfather to eight, great-grandfather to two. To his family, he was Papadoc—a name that carries with it so many memories, stories, and years of love.

A Committal Service will be held at Wenas Cemetery, Selah, Selah, WA 98942, US, on September 11, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
