Paul E. Stevens passed away peacefully Monday, March 18th, 2019 surrounded by family. He was the son of Wilbur and Nora Stevens. He was born in Marionville, Mo. on September 20th, 1931. He was the oldest of 8 kids, Bill, Don, Virginia, Reggie, Vonna, Garland and Linda.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years Audry; his children, Ann (Jim), Laura (Larry), Janice (Bill) and Rob (Bernadine); grandkids, Paul and Marie, Jason and Nic, Justin and Brandon; as well as several great-grandkids, many nieces and nephews, cousins, family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, former wives Betty and Bryna, brothers Don and Garland, and grandson Nic.
Paul was employed in Seattle as a truck driver for Silver Eagle, who transferred him to Yakima where he retired in 1989. He was a member of the million mile club for truckers.
He served in the Army, during the Korean conflict from 1949 to 1952. He was a lifetime member of the VFW.
His hobbies were hosting family gatherings, wood working, watching John Wayne movies and the Seahawks.
A friends and family gathering will be held at Rainier Memorial Center, Saturday, March 23rd at 4 pm, with reception following after. Visitation and viewing will be Friday, March 22nd from 4 to 8 pm at Rainier Memorial Center.
