

Pearl Carolyn Maybee, 74, of Yakima, passed away on May 20, 2015, after a battle with cancer. Pearl was born in Dixie, WA on July 31, 1940. In 1961, Pearl married Larry Maybee, and together they had four children.
Over the years, Pearl held two jobs at once; one working graveyard as a C.N.A. at a local nursing home, and the other during the day in the fruit industry. In later years, Pearl became a CPA while working for CWI Security.
Her hobbies were sewing, quilting with the Sew-Sew girls, her church, family, and friends. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Pearl was an excellent marksman and enjoyed her position in the Muzzle Loader club. She also enjoyed bowling, car races, camping, fishing, and boating.
She is survived by her children: Rick (Betty) Maybee - Yakima, Brian (Kerrie) Maybee - Selah, Kevin Maybee - Yakima, Penny (Dave) Pittman - Selah, two brothers: Randolph (Joyce) Kennedy and Clayton (Sandy) Kennedy. Pearl is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Dale Maybee, earlier this year, as well as her parents, Louis Kennedy & Bertha Howell Kennedy; her siblings, Sonny Kennedy, Bill Kennedy, Pat Slagle, Harvey Kennedy, and Elaine Newquist; one grandchild, Zachery Burwell, nephew, Allen Kennedy, and nieces Terry Weaver and Debbie Slagle.
Mom had an infectious smile and warm caring heart.
A Celebration of her life will be held at Langevin • El Paraíso Funeral Home at 1010 West Yakima Avenue, Yakima, WA on Thursday, May 28th, at 11:00 a.m. Immediately following, Graveside Services will be held at West Hills Memorial Park, 11800 Douglas Rd. in Yakima.
A potluck reception will follow to be announced after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Yakima Valley Memorial Hospice Care.
