Our mom Polly went to be with The Lord on Friday, August 23, 2013. She was 76 years old.
Polly was born January 7, 1937 in Pasco Washington to Paul Paterson Craddock and Wanell (Bliss) Craddock.
She attended a one-room school house in Paterson, WA until she was 8 years old. In 1945 she moved, with her family, to Prosser, Washington. She graduated from Prosser High School in 1955 and in 1956 she moved to Yakima, WA, where she was a nanny and secretary.
In 1961, she met her husband Patrick D. Keller and they were married August 5, 1961. They made their home here in Yakima until Patrick’s death in 2008.
Our mom was a stay at home mom until 1975, when she became a volunteer at Broadway School for the next two years.
In 1977, the family moved to Swan Avenue, and she became a volunteer at Garfield Elementary School. After volunteering there for 7 years, she was hired as a Para Pro and spent the next 12 years in a job she dearly loved. She retired in 2002 due to her husband’s illness.
Mom loved camping, spending time at the beach, traveling and spending precious time with her 2 grandsons.
Polly was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 47 years, Patrick.
She is survived by her three sons; Patrick D. Keller Jr. of Tacoma, Christopher P. Keller of Yakima and Michael P. Keller (Tiffanie) of Selah, and her beloved grandsons Shawn and Zackary.
Polly is also survived by her three sisters; Leona (Ray) Reed of Renton, WA, Benita (Alec) Book of Aberdeen, WA and Paula (Ron) Boutwell of Battleground, WA.
She is also survived by 2 brothers; Michael (Maggie) Craddock of Spokane, WA and Henry (Marcia) Craddock of Clarkston, WA, and her Aunt Twila M. Bliss of Selah, WA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Donations may be made to Memorial Hospice in Yakima.
There will be a time of visitation Thursday, September 5, 2013 at the Keith and Keith Funeral Home, 902 W. Yakima Ave.
The funeral service will be at 1pm, Friday, September 6, 2013 at Keith and Keith Funeral Home.
Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
