The family moved to Yakima in the 1940s. He married Dorothy Zutz in Yakima and they recently celebrated 69 years of marriage.
Ralph is survived by his wife, children, grandchild, sister Leona Evans, and sister-in-law, Helen Wolf, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and four sisters.
Ralph was proud of his three children, Steven, Carla (Robert), and Jill (Terry) and grandson James (Liv). He loved taking James fishing at Lake Roosevelt where they made many friends over the years. After retiring from Boise Cascade, Ralph and Dorothy spent their winters in Palm Desert, CA. Ralph loved to visit and never met a stranger. Everyone that knew him could tell he was a loving and caring father, grandfather, friend, and most of all husband. Ralph was a wonderful, precious man. The best dad ever.
The family is grateful to Cottage in the Meadow.
Graveside services will be 2pm, Friday, March 31, 2017 at Tahoma Cemetery.
