Ramona H. Fletcher

Ramona Fletcher, former long-time Wenas Valley resident, passed away in Ellensburg at the age of 96. Ramona was born

on April 15, 1918, to Garnett and Edyth (Cooper) Hull.

She grew up in a large family with seven siblings, Kenneth, John,

Dorothy, Allene, Roberta, Phyllis, Lucille. In 1937 Ramona graduated from Lower Naches High School and the following

April she married Jim Fletcher. Together Jim and Ramona enjoyed 68 years of marriage until Jim's passing in 2006. After

many years in the sheep, cattle and hay business, Jim and Ramona retired in 1974 and began traveling in their motor

home and spending winters in Arizona. For the next 30 years they enjoyed friendships made through various camping

associations, as well as those made in Arizona.

Ramona was involved in 4-H for 18 years while her children were growing up. She was also a member of the Orthopedic

Society, Grange Auxiliary and Mt. Clemans Women's Garden Club. For more than 50 years, Ramona was involved with

the Woolgrowers Auxiliary and served as the state president in 1950. She also ran the statewide "Make it yourself with

Wool" contest for several years.

Ramona is survived by son Gary (Linda) Fletcher, daughter Susan (Ken) Barnhart, and daughter-in-Iaws Connie Fletcher,

Deanna Jenne, sister Roberta (Ken) Allen, 14 grandchildren, Kristin (Gary) Hendricks, Staci (Bob) Pullinger, Sarah

Fletcher, Drew (Jennifer) Fletcher, Kim (Larry) Loveless, Scott (Bonita) Fletcher, Brett (Ivonne) Fletcher, Todd (Shawna)

Fletcher, Tami (Trent) Cain, Tanya (Josh) Allen, Kenneth (Devin) Barnhart Jr, Laura (Eddie) Bromiley, James (Rhyan)

Barnhart, Katie Barnhart and many great & great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband Jim, she was

preceded in death by sons Forest (1997) and Jim (2010).

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Keith and Keith Funeral Home followed by burial at Wenas Cemetery.
