She was born January 30, 1926 in Yakima, Washington, to Harry and Mabel Rummel. She attended Yakima schools and started working in 1962 at St. Elizabeth as a Histo Tech, in 1970 went to work for Yakima Medical Center Lab, and retired in 1988.
During retirement she volunteered at the Calvary Mission cooking and serving food to the needy.
Rhea was a member of the Open Bible Christian Center where she took part in the orchestra playing the violin.
Rhea is survived by her son Charles Cady and wife Kathy of Selah, WA; two grandsons, William Cady and wife Amana of Yakima, WA, and Robert Cady and wife Kjersti of Yakima, WA; five great grandchildren, Ashley and Alex of Orlando, FL, Hailey, Torte, and Tyler of Yakima, WA; and a brother, Howard Rummel of Bellevue, WA. As the family we would like to thank all of Rhea’s numerous friends, they were a true blessing to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister.
