She was raised in Eagle Creek, OR on a horse ranch and was very active in 4-H. Rhonda graduated from Estacada High School in 1978 with honors. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1983 from Oregon State. Rhonda moved to the Yakima area in 1987, when she began her career at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Nuclear Medicine, eventually finishing at Valley Imaging. She loved her patients and fellow co-workers.
She purchased her Wapato farm in 1993, where she pursued her passion of horses. Rhonda was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association and National Reined Cow Horse Association. Over her successful horse career she was a 2 time National Reined Cow Horse Champion. Rhonda loved her horses, family and friends. She loved making angel earrings and necklaces for her family and friends and knitting caps for cancer patients. She fought her way through complications of leukemia for almost 2 years.
She is survived by her mother Patricia Denney, sister Gayle Derrick (Don), nephews Kelsey and Korey, 3 great nephews and 2 great nieces, many aunts and uncles, cousins, her special friend Bob Alliston, and her 2 rescue dogs Freckles and Elsa. She is preceded by her father Clemens Denney.

A Memorial service will be held at Keith and Keith Funeral Home on Saturday August 25th, 2018 at 1 pm followed by a potluck reception.
